There are people who live their whole lives on the default settings, never realizing you can customize.” – Robert Breault

People make choices often because it’s what’s expected of them.
Women are supposed to get married and have children. If a woman remains single and childless, she will get asked questions, from family members, from co-workers, even from perfect strangers. It goes against the grain. Even in 2016.
Some people never alter their plans to suit their interests or their life scenarios. They simply operate on a default setting – doing what other people do or succumbing to pressure and doing what is expected of them.
The great thing is we can choose what’s best for us. We can have children when we’re older or not at all. We can go to college in our 40s or 50s. We can switch careers. We can, and should, customize.
It’s good to be an original.
I am seeking to do just that — pursue my passion at age 50…..
